Scene reconstruction
A jury can only decide what it can see. We deliver 3D reconstructions of the scenes at issue in your case — from imagery your investigator captured, from imagery we capture ourselves, or from a mix of both.
Capture
- UAV / drone. Part 107 pilots on staff. Field-flown collapse sites, wildland-fire perimeters, aircraft-crash debris fields, structure fires and traffic sites.
- Ground stereophotogrammetry. Hundreds-to-thousands-of-image reconstructions of interiors and industrial equipment, using calibration fiducials of our own design.
- LIDAR / laser scanning. Terrestrial scans for point-cloud reconstruction. Author of open-source contributions to the LIDAR data-processing toolchain.
- Gaussian splat capture. Polycam and comparable capture, processed on our own GPU stack for high-fidelity radiance-field scenes.
- Photogrammetry from historical imagery. Archival aerial photography research, acquisition, processing and analysis — including flights that predate satellite imagery.
Reconstruction pipeline
- Structure-from-motion for image sets
- Multi-view stereo dense-point reconstruction
- Gaussian-splat training on our own GPU stack
- Point-cloud registration and cleanup (LAS / LAZ)
- Photogrammetric surface-mesh extraction via voxel or Poisson methods
- Cross-registration of drone, ground and LIDAR captures into a single unified scene
Courtroom presentation without internet
Our own local, air-gapped 3D viewer. Scenes are delivered on a self-contained laptop or tablet with no external network dependency. Judges, juries and opposing counsel see the same fluid navigation whether the venue has Wi-Fi or not.
- Runs on Windows and popular mobile devices
- Supports point clouds, meshes, Gaussian splats and analysis overlays in one session
- No cloud call at any point during presentation
- Chain-of-custody-friendly output: every scene carries a JSON manifest of source captures, timestamps and processing steps
- Capable of presenting Matterport-built scenes pre-downloaded from the cloud
Flight-path forensics
Extract, verify and visualize drone flight logs when a drone’s operation is disputed — privacy trespass, near-miss, restricted-airspace incidents, accident investigation. We also reconstruct camera poses from action-cam or terrestrial security-camera footage when no telemetry survives.
Aviation-accident visualization
3D flight-path reconstruction over the terrain, correlated with ADS-B, weather at time of the event, and the physical scene evidence.
Body-camera and multi-camera synchronized review
For officer-involved incidents, we combine body-cam, dash-cam, cell-phone bystander video, business surveillance and 911 audio into one navigable timeline. Everything scrubs together, keyed to a single clock.
